Description
Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your
accommodation in Yogyakarta and making your way to the awe-inspiring sunrise at
Puntuk Setumbu Hill. It is a small hill located about 3 km west of Borobudur
Temple. From its summit at dawn, you a short 10 minutes’ drive from Plataran to
the starting point, continued by 15 minutes of trekking up to the summit.
Traditional morning tea and coffee will be served at the summit while you are
enjoying the view up there.
After enjoying sunrise, you will be driven to see buddhis temple
Borobudur. The Borobudur Temple Compounds is one of temples that every visitor
can enjoy the mystical panorama of the temple, the surrounding Kedu valley and
distant mountain peaks. The trip involves the greatest Buddhist monuments in
the world and was built in the 8th and 9th centuries AD during the reign of the
Syailendra Dynasty. The monument is located in the Kedu Valley, in the southern
part of Central Java, at the centre of the island of Java, Indonesia.
Next visit, you will be taken to visit Kraton or called Sultan
Palace. It is a grand complex that was meticulously planned to reflect the
Javanese cosmos. This elegant complex of pavilions was constructed based on
ancient beliefs, of the connection between the God, human and the natural
realms. Each feature holds a special symbolic meaning related to the Javanese
worldview, who considers the importance of Mount Merapi and The Indian Ocean.
In Sultan Palace you will be explained the history of Kraton in detail by a
local guide.
Next in your journey, you will explore the exquisite Prambanan,
Indonesia's largest temple complex, dedicated to Shiva, where you will admire
three temples adorned with intricate reliefs depicting the epic Ramayana and
honoring the three Hindu divinities: Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, along with
their corresponding animal.
Once the tour comes to an end you can sit back and reflect on your
day while your driver accompanies you to your accommodation.
